Find Providers through Insurance

Insurance typically covers at least some psychotherapy services. This can be a great way of getting mental health care. Typically, you can find mental health providers covered by your insurance by following these steps (please note, this is general advice and may not apply to all insurance providers):
  1. Go to your insurance website and log in if needed
  2. There should be a button that says "Find Provider"
  3. This typically takes you to a page that has a search bar. Typing in "psychologist" or "counselor" will typically pull up a list of practitioners in your area.
  4. Some insurance companies allow you to filter your search based on specialties, demographics, or location of the providers.
  5. Always check the provider's website too, just to be sure.
